TL;DR

Use Google Takeout to create a zip file with all data you wish to keep from your Google Account (eg. Drive, Gmail, Chrome Bookmarks)
Back up the files you stored on your Macbook to an external drive or your personal cloud storage
Export data from apps (eg. Notability, Goodnotes, Canva) to a private (cloud storage) account
Log out of your Apple ID (both on Macbook and iPad if applicable)
Return all devices (MacBook, iPad, dongle, charger, and any other borrowed items) to the IT department.
You may have the option to purchase your laptop. Ask Jason ([email protected]).

Start by organizing your Google Drive.
If you haven't already, try to separate files that are personal only, from shared files that may still be relevant to NIST and your colleagues.

<aside> 💡 Personal files tend to be documents in your Google Drive that you have created but have not shared with anyone. They could be health records, receipts, ID scans, travel documents, resumes, etc).

Any personal documents you have can be backed up and/or deleted. More information about how to backup your Google Drive is located in step 3.
Leave all other files in your Google Drive. Do NOT delete.
All files remaining in your Google Drive that you own will have ownership transferred to a NIST archive account ([email protected]) after you leave to ensure that the files are always accessible.
